X-BonzerX-Bonzer is the first dual-energy X-ray bone densometer and body composition analyzer for small animals(also known as: small animal DXA) launched by PINGSENG in China. It continues the path of innovation through fully independent development, inherits excellent product design concepts, and fully leverages PINGSENG's technological advantages and software capabilities in molecular imaging research equipment. Its mission is to provide operations and application analysis that are more tailored to user needs.
X-Bonzer® utilizes the dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) method to provide precise measurements of small animal bodies and tissues, obtaining parameters such as bone mineral density (BMD) (g/cm2), bone mass (g), lean meat mass (g), fat mass (g), muscle/fat ratio (%), fat percentage in soft tissue (%), total soft tissue mass (g), and total mass (g). DXA is characterized by simple and rapid measurement, extremely low radiation, and is suitable for long-term longitudinal studies. It is the gold standard for measuring bone mineral density (BMD). Additionally, DXA is also an important tool for clinical assessment of muscle atrophy. Therefore, small animal DXA has been widely used in research on bone diseases in experimental animals, animal body composition-related studies, animal metabolic disease-related studies, as well as drug efficacy and toxicology-related research. In orthopedic research, small animal bone densometers can also serve as a complementary device to Micro CT, allowing for rapid acquisition of bone imaging and bone density parameters.
